Pierre RIBEMONT

Pierre Ribémont began studying music by playing the violin at the École Nationale de Musique d’Orléans.. After three years of  study with Toni Ramon, he discovered singing, and it became his passion.  He then participated in the classes of Jacqueline Bonnardot and Corinne Sertillanges .

 

In 2001, he entered the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon in the class of Brian Parsons and Francoise Pollet. Thanks to the tutelage of his two masters, he won a first prize in June 2006.

 

He worked with Jean- Marc Cochereau ( for the role of the Celebrant in Bernstein's Mass ), Kenneth Weiss ( Purcell's Dido and Aeneas ) and Gary Magby ( Sondheim's Sweeney Todd ) .

 

He sings regularly in productions of the Opéra National de Lyon ( Les Contes d' HoffmanThe Queen of Spades ... ) , and collaborates with Les Solistes de Lyon and Bernard Tétu .

 

In 2008, he was given the role of Babylas in Offenbach's Monsieur Choufleuri restera chez lui le...  in 2010 and the tenor solo in Mozart's Requiem .

 

In 2011, he was invited by the " delle Ali " theater in Brescia for a recital of Neapolitan songs.

 

Under the direction of Laurence Equilbey in 2013 , he was a soloist at the Cité de la Musique in Mendelssohn's

 Drei Psalmen, Op. 78.

 

He also has a passion for teaching and taught singing at the Conservatoire du Région de Lyon . In this context, he is regularly invited to organize master classes in Europe on French music.
